From collapsing missile capabilities to the possibility of regime fracture, the next days may determine the future of the Islamic Republic. And a note on the American-Israeli alliance
Listened to you on Call Me Back earlier today. The three of you did a great job of explaining much of what is happening, in real time. Like you, I am worried. God Bless, Nadav!
The strategic value of the US-Israel alliance is being demonstrated in real time. It would be most helpful if US Chiefs of Staff, CENTCOM or other top military brass would speak to the American people about the remarkable value of the alliance and the extraordinary cooperation and achievements produced as a result. Such voices are all the more credible and effective for being non-political. Retired General Petraeus would be enlightening to hear, too, as he clearly was on Dan Senor's recent podcast.
Great article. I'm very interested in learning more about scenario 3, a fractured Iran, that Israel seems to prefer. I've recently listened to American commentators like Michael Doran and Fred Kagan mention a possible Syrian Civil War like outcome. While that would obviously cause great hardship for the Iranian people, I haven't heard a clear argument why it would be necessarily against American or Israeli interests. The possible proliferation of nuclear material seems like the greatest risk. Thanks!
Thanks, as always, for keeping us updated on the situation. I worry too about public opinion in America about Israel, but right now Israel and the US must continue this campaign against Israel to remove it as a military threat to the region. This is job #1. With respect to American public opinion, this is a generational project and will take concerted effort over time to change the growing anti Jewish sentiment. Our institutions—academic, media, cultural etc— have been hijacked by a wave of illiberal wokeism that will be difficult to dismantle. This is something we Americans must do; Israel has little, if any, influence in this regard. All it can do is continue to be the best ally of the United States and promote the values of western civilization as it has done so magnificently since its founding.
Great article and podcast
Thank you Nadav!!! Great info!!
Open question: If the Kurds become involved then does Turkey move automatically in response given their historic (and current) antipathy?
Very good analysis
Fabulous insight Nadav . Thank you.

Zero insight. Zero value added.
Definitely seemed like gen AI to me
Thanks for the analysis. It has some info but essentially ignores the main element.
I don't think you considered the element of the people of Iran. What they desire and what they can achieve.
That is the 4th and most likely scenario.

I meant the campaign against IRAN, of course.
